Subjective Truth
Since most of us operate under the rule of “confirmational bias,” i.e., selective confirmation for what we already believe, the notion of objectivity in the press has become a relic of the past. The competition for viewership, listenership and readership has polarized the media into warring camps.
Bias Reporting?
I wonder if the journalism schools are still holding to the who, where and why principle. Or if the schools themselves are training soldiers for political terrorism?
Maybe it’s a hope against hope to think this trend will at some point reverse itself?
As for me, I’m asking, “Walter Cronkite, where are you?”
